Our Feed Source
We use Certified Organic, Soy-Free, Corn-Free Feed from Pastured Steps Farms. Their feed is formulated to support healthy, natural growth without antibiotics, added hormones, or medications, and it is made without soy, corn, or any ingredients derived from soybeans or corn.
Our Feed Standards
- Organic Feed — All supplemental feed provided to our animals is Certified Organic.
- Soy-Free — Our feed does not contain soy or any ingredients derived from soybeans.
- Corn-Free — Our feed does not contain corn or any products derived from corn.
- No Antibiotics or Hormones — We never give our animals antibiotics or hormones. If an animal is in need, we treat it and then remove it from our flock. We have found that when animals are raised on pasture in healthy conditions, those things are not generally necessary.
- Pasture-Raised — Once age appropriate, our birds spend their lives on pasture and are moved to fresh pasture on a regular basis, typically once per day.
